THAI MASSAGE

Thai Massage is an ancient technique founded by Jivaka Komarbhacca, an Ayurvedic doctor and the Buddha’s physician. Influenced by Ayurveda, Hatha Yoga and various Southeast Asian healing traditions, it has traditionally been practiced fully clothed on a mat for the last 2,500 years. Thai Massage uses muscle compression, joint mobilization, flowing movements, stretches, and acupressure pressure points along the major ‘sen’ lines. This restores balance to the whole system, often resulting in a profound rest, leaving the body energized, and rejuvenated. Benefits of Thai massage include: centres body and mind, stress reduction, relaxation, body awareness, increased circulation, and emotional balance.

All treatments are done fully clothed on a mat. A comfy t-shirt and tights/stretchy pants or shorts is recommended. Essential oils and/or muscle cream is used during the session unless requested not. Sound healing is also included in the session.

HEAT THERAPY

Heat therapy using herbal bundles are added to a traditional Thai massage session to enhance overall wellness. Herbs such as lemongrass, camphor, ginger, eucalyptus, and tiger balm are included in the bundle. The herbal bundles are heated using a steamer, which increases blood flow and deeply penetrates and relaxes the muscles. Highly recommended for people who have body tension and stress for deep relaxation.
